The Numismatic Literary Guild (NLG) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1968 to support, recognize, and uplift excellence in numismatic writing and content creation. The Guild brings together editors, authors, journalists, bloggers, designers, and multimedia producers who cover all forms of money, medals, tokens, and related collectibles.
Each year, the NLG hosts its respected Annual Writers Competition, celebrating outstanding achievements across print, digital, audio, and video media. The awards are traditionally presented during the American Numismatic Association’s World’s Fair of Money, drawing top talent from across the hobby.
Membership is open to full‑time or part‑time creators who contribute to numismatic knowledge and storytelling. Through its awards, resources, and longstanding commitment to promoting high‑quality numismatic communication, the NLG continues to foster a vibrant and informed community dedicated to preserving and advancing the study of money and its history.
